Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev won his initial championship for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has endured a challenging season, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and finally splitting with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested three-set triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial title since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
Success also means he has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my children together, so to get a championship is particularly special," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child my daughter, because the first title I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving approach and recurring outbursts on court had led commentators to wonder if his ability to play at the top level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, striving to approach the net and play assertively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, taking four of the last five games to go ahead.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his initial professional title, gained dominance to force a third set.
He defended 4 early-game chances in a competitive third set before the Russian won the break to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, the winner secured the win with a shot at the net area, with Moutet incapable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
