Vehicles in German Town Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Officers stated they were alerted by a resident who found a automobile in Hanau smeared with red-colored substance

Roughly fifty automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.

Law enforcement state they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a individual observed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored fluid.

The fluid had been drawn in the form of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then discovered numerous other vandalized vehicles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Police say initial examinations suggest the fluid was probably blood from a person.

"At present there remains no clue as to its origin; investigators are not yet cognizant of any harm in relation with the event," they commented.

City officials announced they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have asked to the residents for tips.

A high-ranking political figure said the attack made him speechless and had to be addressed promptly.

"This incident hits the core of Hanau and revives the wounds of the far-right violent incident five years ago," he stated on social media, mentioning the killing of nine victims by a gunman aiming at people of immigrant origin in February 2020.
